There are around 60 wine regions in Australia with vineyards in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, WA, Tasmania, and Queensland. Cool climate wine growing regions are most common across Australia and different wine varieties and styles are grown depending on the soil type, climate, and temperature of each region.
Although there is a plethora of wine varieties grown Down Under the most popular reds include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir and whites are Chardonnay, Semillon, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc.
