South Australia Wines
South Australia is often referred to as the wine capital of Australia, and home to hundreds of cellar doors. Grape growing spans an enormous part of the state and includes areas such as the Barossa Valley, the Clare Valley, the Adelaide Hills, the McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, and the Riverland. The signature grape variety of South Australia is Shiraz, but many other varieties thrive in SA including Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, world-class Riesling, and Chardonnay.
